Palani Murugan Temple

Palani Hill Temple famously known as Arulmigu Dandayudhapani Swamy Temple located in Dindigul district of Palani. It is 150 kilometres away from southeast Coimbatore and northwest of Madurai, in the foothills of Palani Hills Tamil Nadu. It is the first of the six abodes of Murugan temples. It was also known as Thiruavinangudi.
The temple is associated with Lord Muruga one of the sons of Lord shiva and godess Parvathi.
The temple attract majority of devotees especially at the end of the year, where thousands of people approach to the temple wearing Mala, a practice where people dedicate themselves in praying for Lord Murugan and walk barefoot up to the hill to get his darushanam.
Palani Hill Wildlife Sanctuary,

If you have love for some adventure and your soul brings peace in nature then Palani Hill Wildlife Sanctuary is a best place to visit. It has got a bunch of endangered species and about 26 waterfalls. It is one of the most beautiful wildlife sanctuaries in today’s date. The government has declared it as the protected and restricted area for wildlife. The weather here is pleasant throughout the year that makes the sanctuary an ideal Habitat for amphibians and many reptiles.
Thirumoorthy falls

Thirumoorthy falls is also known as Panchalinga waterfalls. It is located in the highway from Palani to Coimbatore. It is at a distance of 3 km from Thirumoorthy Temple and 20 km from Udumalaipettai. The waterfall flows to the Thirumoorthy dam.
The falls is also famous for its picnic spot. One can enjoy a nice experience of trekking for about 2 kms on the way to waterfalls. The falls is surrounded by Thirumoorthy Hills that offers the place cool atmosphere.
The way leading to Trimurti Falls is characterized by the route surrounding coconut groves, paddy field and sunflower Gardens. It also has a swimming pool and bloating facilities with laid out garden in the dam.
Thekkanthottam falls,

Thekkanthottam falls is yet another beautiful waterfall destination for any Traveller that finds love in nature. It is located in Thekkanthottam village of Tamil Nadu. The falls can be reached by the buses from Palani. One has to walk 4 km from the bus stop of thekkanthottam to the waterfall.
The water that flows in the falls is stored in the tanks that are also called as water dam. Through the pipes the water is stored in this water dam, which are then filtered and distributed throughout the houses of Palani.
The surrounding area is calm and offer cool climate. One has to climb a little rocks in order to reach the Thekkanthottam waterfalls.
Thirumoorthy Hills
Thirumoorthy Hills is situated about 20 km from Udumalpet on the highway from Palani to Coimbatore and 50 km from Pollachi. It is a must visit place for any person that is in love with nature.
It is a home for widespread lush greenery and waterfalls reservoirs flowing across the year. Thirumoorthy Temple is located at the foothills of Thirumoorthy Hills adjacent to to Thirumoorthy Dam.
It gives the best experience for trekking and hiking. One has to climb 1 to 2 km of Thirumoorthy Hills in order to reach the falls but it’s worth the climb as the water that flow from the falls is fabulous and healthy as it passes through many medical plants, but during winter and rainy season the waterfall has a heavy flow that might be dangerous for the children travelling along.
The combination of Thirumoorthy Hill, waterfalls and Thirumoorthy Temple gives combo of beautiful spot for shooting films. The locals provide boating facilities so you could take a Boat around the lake, also as an alternate you could swim in the swimming pool or wander around pretty Gardens. Thirumoorthy Hills is an ideal place for any person to visit as a summer stop or as picnic spot.
